International Homeroom Teacher

Lloyd is from Wales, in the United Kingdom. He is a friendly and enthusiastic teacher who builds a strong and meaningful relationship with every student. In 2016, Lloyd graduated from Bath Spa’s British Institute of Music after achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musicianship and Songwriting and gaining industry experience with well known music artists.

Gaining inspiration from a teaching module, Lloyd then completed his Postgraduate Certificate in 2019. He loves to bring music into his lessons to creatively teach a wide variety of concepts such as phonics, feelings and daily routines.Lloyd has been teaching for nearly 9 years, first in British curriculum schools using both the Early Years Foundations Stage Framework and the Curriculum for Wales then more recently in Japan at an award winning bilingual immersion programme. Here, Lloyd was the English Music Lead teacher for the lower elementary immersion programme.

Lloyd’s teaching philosophy revolves around setting healthy boundaries with one another, encouraging learners to try their best in everything they do and most importantly, reminding them that making mistakes is the most important part of the learning journey.
