CBFS secondary School combines the widely recognized educational philosophy of world-renowned universities with the Chinese national curriculum, adopting a student-centered education model and utilizing teaching methods such as theme based and interdisciplinary project-based exploration to form an education system that is unified and coherent with primary education. At the same time, by combining the school's characteristic school-based expansion courses, rich social practice activities, and professional competition guidance, a challenging and multicultural integration curriculum system has been constructed that meets both the learning characteristics of Chinese students and the academic connection requirements of overseas university education systems.

Introduction to the IGCSE Programme

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), is one of the global systems with the largest number of 14- to 16-year-olds taking the exam. After more than 30 years of development, there are more than 5,500 schools around the world offering IGCSE courses in more than 160 countries. As one of the most mature secondary courses in the world, the IGCSE curriculum system has become the golden articulation course for mainstream study-abroad courses such as A Level, AP and IB. Students can obtain IGCSE certificates after passing the exams.
At the same time, more and more British universities include IGCSE results as one of the reference options, and some of them even explicitly require students to submit mathematics and English results. In addition to enhancing the competitiveness of the application, for international students, excellent IGCSE English language results can also replace the IELTS score.

Introduction of A-Level Programme

The General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (A-Level for short) is the UK's General Certificate of Secondary Education Advanced Level programme. It is considered to be one of the most suitable international programmes for Chinese students because of its flexibility in course selection, and it is a two-year programme. The first year is known as the AS level, where students choose the 5-6 subjects they are most interested in and pass the exams to receive an AS certificate. In the second year, known as A2 level, students choose the 3-4 subjects that they excel at, and pass an exam to obtain an A-Level certificate.
A-Level Subjects
There are over 70 subjects to choose from, with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Business and Economics being the most common subjects offered in China.
A-Level Grading
A-Levels are graded A, B, C, D, E and U. Examination results in your chosen subject will largely determine whether or not you get into your university. The results may be used to give credit for subjects at universities in the UK, USA, Canada and elsewhere.
A-Level Recognition
The only curriculum in the world that is recognized by 100% of all English-speaking countries.
Favored and recognized by more than 11,000 formal universities in over 160 countries and territories.
